2024 Gala

Baltimore Center Stage’s Annual Gala is the biggest fund raiser of the year. The goal is to raise funds to support education programs within the theater that uplift the community. The theme for this year’s gala was a Baltimore Renaissance, celebrating the new artistic future of Baltimore and and the theater. The Gala is marketed as a choose-your-own adventure party with experiences across multiple floors of the large historic building that houses the theater.

2024 Gala Branding

Keywords that came up repeatedly during the theme’s development were futuristic, gold, and silver. In an effort to make the assets feel futuristic and elegant, I developed a set of wire frame shapes to abstractly suggest the “future.” All header treatments were given a gold silver metallic effect and invitations were printed with gold and silver foil.

2024 Gala Email and Web Graphics

Emails shared details about the adventures, head shots of the honorees, and photos from past galas to illustrate how much fun guest would have at the event.

Potential guests were directed to buy tickets and Adventure Passes online. On the home page they would be greeted with a dramatic full width graphic that would take them to the Gala page for more information.

2024 Gala Social Media Kit

The Baltimore Center Stage Gala is meant to appeal to people across our community. We heavily utilized social media to share the event on BCS’ social channels. The Board of Trustees is also asked to personally invite guests and share from a social media kit on their own channels. These graphics are a selection from the social media kit given to the Board and others.

Adventure Pass Postcard

The postcard features a photo of a drag queen from SadBrunch, Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott, and a couple laughing and dancing. The Gala is a celebration of Baltimore for the people of Baltimore and we wanted to show that in our marketing.

This 6x9 inch postcard was sent out to 20,000 addresses. While the dinner segment of the Gala typically consists of corporate sponsors, local government officials, and key artists, the Adventure Pass is meant for the greater community to come party with Baltimore Center Stage.

2024 Gala Mailed Invitation

The final 5x7 invitation was printed with gold and silver foil on linen textured card stock and sent in a Gala branded envelope. Recipients of this invitation were guests that have close ties to Baltimore Center Stage and were potential large sponors/donors.

2024 Gala Signage

The screens behind the box office would rotate between these graphics displaying large silent auction items. This would allow guests to see some of the big prizes and instruct them to bid.

A large event requires a lot of signage. I created wayfaring and informational signage to help guests navigate the expansive event space.

Nearly thirty 36 x 24 inch foam core wayfaring signs were created to guide guests through the space. Each floor had directory signage noting which floor to find Adventures, Dining Rooms, and bathrooms. Signs were placed in stairwells and in the elevators and outside each adventure space. As the signs were so widely distributed they offered an opportunity to instruct guests to bid on silent auction items with their phones and to view the digital program.
